1985 avion is 99% original! from the all-wood cabinetry with dove-tail joints and no soft spots in floor or walls/roof there are so many reasons to fall in love with this trailer! this is primarily a fixer upper because of the ac not working and the refrigerator not working some components of the sewage connections would need to be repaired. the last hurricane ripped one of the awnings. this is why there is strap to ensure the awning that was compromised by the hurricane does not fly out during transport. i'm not aware if water heater works or other items. primary due to my wife's health getting worse just a few months after getting it we were unable to use it. we both pulled our savings at the time equally to purchase it. i kept hoping for several years she would get better however it has not come yet. ironically the couple that sold it to us was having a similar family issue. i do know i have seen gutted versions of airstream at listed for $5 000 . the buy it now price is based on what a good starting price would be for an unfinished usable classic vintage rv that just needs some tlc. i have started the price low with no reserve because i don't know what the real value should be and i'm letting the auction determine that. like all avions this one has an anodized aluminum exterior clean and sealed. there has been an exception with one leak i believe from the light housing that is just outside of the door. of course the driving force winds of multiple hurricanes could have caused this exception. a fold out table that was supported by a small countertop is disconnected due to that countertop being particle board and coming apart over time. it does not appear the wall was affected or the floor as this was most likely a drip leak. there is also a bad scrape that you can see in the pictures that did not puncture the aluminum. avions are known for their tubular steel chassis which means it has a solid steel frame. the exterior and flooring are two layers of aluminum sandwiching insulating foam in the walls and additional wood in the floors.all of the hardware is in working order and the drawers slide and doors move nicely. the wardrobes are cedarlined and there is ridiculous amounts of storage- like everywhere. there is a sofa that becomes a bed in the living room along with a swivel occasional chair. bottom line is this trailer is an awesome foundation for what could be a premium vintage trailer with some renovation. i'll provide the address to anyone that requests to see it through ebay or americanlisted. it's located in port orange florida. the tires were replaced approximately 4-5 years ago and are keeping good pressure and kept them covered. the spare was replaced in the back also. happy bidding!on mar-05-23 at 16 19 03 pst seller added the following information dry weight listed on vin plate is 8550 lbs.
